There will be a solar eclipse running across North America on April 8th, 2024. As you can see on the map, Ron Coleman Mining is directly in the middle of the totality line!
Our mine has no light pollution, is well elevated, and has virtually no obstructions to the sky - making it the perfect place to view the eclipse in its totality.
All of this has encouraged us to host our own festival in celebration of the eclipse. We hope to provide a fun, safe, and totally unique experience for anyone that decides to share it with us.

Ron Coleman Mining has over 100,000 square feet of usable space to host this event, and is excited to offer guests the opportunity to camp, dig, zipline, take tours, listen to live music, shop, interact with vendors, and appreciate the natural beauty of the area over the course of 3 days.
The festival is scheduled to take place from 7:30am on Saturday, April 6th until 10pm on Monday, April 8th. The actual solar eclipse will take place around 1:30pm (CST) on April 8th.

For each day of the festival, the tentative schedule is as follows:

The giftshop will be open from 8 am until 6 pm for shopping and cooling off

Digging, ziplining, and tours will be available from 8am until 4:30pm

Vendors will be open from 10am until 10pm*.

Bands will be playing from 10am until 10pm.*

Complimentary shuttles will be running each day from 8am until 6 pm to take guests to/from the festival grounds, digging area, parking area, and giftshop.

A 15' x 15' primitive campsite is included with the Festival + Camping Pass. (Bring your own tent)
